Shih Hsin University 70th Anniversary International Academic Conference Call for Papers

The Challenges of Integrating Artificial Intelligence into Communication Theory and Management Practice

I. Conference Theme
The rapid development of generative artificial intelligence, algorithmic recommendation, and datafication is ushering communication into a new phase of “intelligent media.” These technologies are not only reshaping content production, information flow, and audience relationships, but also transforming the ways in which individuals, communities, organizations, and even entire industries construct “influence.” While intelligent media bring efficiency and innovation, they also confront the shaping of public issues, human–machine interaction, privacy and algorithmic governance, and communication education and professional practice with unprecedented challenges.
On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the founding of Shih Hsin University, this conference takes “Communication Strategy and Influence Construction in the Age of Intelligent Media” as its central theme. Echoing the University’s longstanding tradition of cultivating communication professionals and nurturing talents of influence, the conference seeks—through interdisciplinary dialogue spanning public, social, and interpersonal influence; public relations, advertising, and strategic communication; and the media industry and cultural communication—to jointly reflect on how intelligent media disrupt or consolidate existing communication strategies and the construction of influence, and to advance forward-looking developments in both communication theory and practice.
